Welcome to The Cyber Archive (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website at thecyberarchive.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site.

1. About The Cyber Archive

The Cyber Archive is an independent educational publication. We create in-depth written articles analyzing and summarizing talks from cybersecurity conferences such as DEF CON, Black Hat, USENIX Security, and others.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any conference, organization, speaker, or company whose talks or content we cover. All conference names, trademarks, and related marks are the property of their respective owners.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Site (16 years of age if you are located in the European Economic Area). By using the Site, you represent that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly provide services to children below these ages.

3. Intellectual Property

3.1 Our Content

All original content on this Site — including articles, analyses, editorial commentary, design, layout, graphics, and branding — is owned by The Cyber Archive and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable fair use or fair dealing provisions.

3.2 Third-Party Content

The cybersecurity conference talks, presentations, slide decks, and videos covered on this Site are the property of their respective speakers, authors, and/or conference organizers. Our articles constitute transformative commentary, criticism, and analysis under applicable copyright principles and are not reproductions of the original works.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to third-party content referenced on the Site.

3.3 Limited License to You

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE CYBER ARCHIVE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (WHICH, FOR FREE USERS, IS ZERO).
